With bill C 1718 (so-called Nordio), Parliament is working on the introduction of a package of rules all pre-arranged with the sole aim of expanding the range of protections due to suspects/defendants (but also to third parties) in those moments of the criminal proceedings (broadly understood) in which the primary rights and interests of the person are at stake. After the reconstruction of the relevant regulatory contents, the contribution focuses on the systematic issues and application problems that affect the article currently being examined by the Chamber of Deputies, and then outlines the adjustments deemed suitable to overcome the critical issues found.[Abstract appeared in the Journal]
