On Jan. 7, 2024, having concluded the commemoration for the victims of Acca Larentia, a procession of about 1,000 people headed in front of the former headquarters of the Italian Social Movement, displaying, as on multiple occasions in the past, the ritual of Roman salutes and shouting "presente" These are, in a context of reinvigorated activism by neo-fascist groups, of demonstrations that force one to question what a system such as the Italian one, which has repudiated-and therefore excluded-fascism as a historical experience and as an ideology, can (or should) do "to prevent liberticidal groups or parties from undermining its very foundations".[Abstract appeared in the Journal]
