The essay proposes some reflections on the contribution of new technologies on overcoming the territorial gap in Italy, in the perspective of land governance. More specifically, this study attempts to highlight the role of public administration, focusing on the importance of principles as a guide of administrative activity. Among these, the principle of sustainable development – which can be found in the Italian Constitution, as a result of the recent amendment of Articles 9 and 41 – will be examined.[Abstract appeared in the Journal]
