A VENT'ANNI DALLA NASCITA DEL DIRITTO ALIMENTARE EUROPEO

The EEC Treaty and its subsequent versions do not directly consider food law; however, the variety of many of the products classified as agricultural forced the Court of Justice to build a first draft of food law which, following health problems caused by cattle and poultry, prompted the Commission to successfully propose the adoption of the Reg. (EC) No 178/2002. With this act the construction of food law was launched. The meeting in Rovigo showed the interest of young and old researchers in the developments that this branch of law is taking, whose birth was caused by problems of agricultural law.[Abstract appeared in the Journal]
