The following work integrates national guidelines, not specific for plastic surgery, with others that had already been approved by several international scientific associations of Plastic Surgery. The aim is to provide plastic surgeons with several directions given by SICPRE, in agreement with scientific evidence, and with useful guidance in case of dispute or litigation. The paper is focused on the Breast Augmentation, that is considered the most popular operation among those performed in the plastic surgery field, pointing out different guidelines, surgical techniques, prosthetic implants, handling complications, among these the recent and discussed BI-ALCL.[Abstract appeared in the Journal]
